How can we actively shape the future of health emergency preparedness?

This is the central question of a series of HERA Info Days 2025. Each year, the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority  of the European Commission (HERA) brings together key stakeholders from research, industry, and policy to exchange insights on current and emerging challenges in the health sector.

This year, our city2science team is contributing a new concept and design for “Cozy Corners” – interactive spaces that foster dialogue among participants and initiate valuable stakeholder feedback  HERA. Our three interactive stations were designed to spark discussion, open new perspectives, and help HERA to strategically address future challenges:

  • Problem Tree: What are the key threats to health preparedness? Participants map out risks and their underlying causes.
  • Recipe Lab: What “ingredients” are needed to effectively tackle health crises? In a creative format, participants develop practical solutions.
  • Threaded Board for Future Challenges: What threats might emerge in the coming years? By connecting different trends, participants create realistic future scenarios.

These small, accessable interactive sites create a dynamic space for meaningful exchange and help HERA gather crucial insights from diverse experts and industries. We are excited to contribute to shaping the future of European health emergency preparedness – and look forward to the discussions and ideas that will emerge in the upcoming HERA Info Days 2025!
