Third Science Night Ruhr delighted with a varied program and fantastic closing shows
A successful night full of experiments, workshops and talks: For the third time Science Night Ruhr transformed the whole Ruhr area into an interactive laboratory on September 28 .
Science Night Ruhr grows: In 9 cities 27 venues offered scientific exhibitions, creative workshops and entertaining hands-on activities for curious visitors of all ages. Comparing to Science Night Ruhr 2016 this years’ Science Night could raise the visitor figures notably with around 16.000 counted guests. This year three big closing shows fascinated a great group of visitors at the end of the inspiring night.
Science Night Ruhr is organized by the Ruhr Regional Association every two years since 2014. It is part of the strategic redesign of the Ruhr area to the “Knowledge Metropolis Ruhr”. In 2014 city2science wrote the Implementation Study “Science Night Ruhr”. This year city2science supported the Ruhr Regional Association in finding and selecting the highlight program and organised the “Makerspace” that took place in Gelsenkirchen.
