June 2 we were invited to facilitate a workshop to develop ideas for the future “house of knowlegde” in Bochum!
The interactive virtual workspace included 35 stakeholders from science, education, economy and municipality, who came together for the first time. The interdisciplinary gathering focused on the conversion and transformation of a former post office across Bochum’s city hall into a swirling social meeting place and dynamic innovation ecosystem.
Opening in 2026, the multifunctional building will combine the city library, an adult education centre, the UniverCity network representing 5 universities and a market hall under one roof. The city envisions an open, metropolitan meeting place that sets standards for lifelong learning, discoveries and innovative collaborations. We were happy and inspired to see ideas come alive on Mural Boards and in dynamic dialogues, uniting those colleagues who will be working together in this special place!
